SPRINGFIELD -- Shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday, a man entered the Autotronics convenience store at the corner of Benton Avenue at Chestnut Expressway. The clerk told police that the masked man had a handgun, and demanded the cash from the register.
The robber took off with the entire register drawer as well as money from a charity can.
