A bomb killed a 1992 graduate of Waynesville (Mo.) High School in Afghanistan. Sgt. Kevin Grieco of Bartlett, Ill., and another soldier from Ohio died on Monday when a suicide bomber detonated explosives as they prepared to enter a building in Baghlan.
Grieco, 35, was a member of the Illinois National Guard. His unit deployed four months ago. A wife and two children survive him.
