SPRINGFIELD -- A man from Marshfield got a 77-month prison sentence on Thursday for threatening an FBI agent. Melvin Henre pleaded guilty last April for threatening to assault and murder FBI Supervisory Senior Resident Agent Dean Bryant.

The U.S. attorney's office says Henre left dozens of voice mail messages at the FBI office in Springfield, and they gradually grew more demanding and aggressive. Prosecutors say the messages became more threatening between last Jan. 16 and March 19.
