Oregon County man dies in accident

An Alton man is dead following a crash in Oregon County.

59-year-old Arthur Bettis was thrown from his pick-up when it went off of Missouri 19, south of Alton, and overturned early Saturday morning.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
