REPUBLIC, Mo. -- It's not every day that kids get on a school bus for a field trip to a shooting range. Sixth graders from Republic Elementary-3 left behind their assignments on Tuesday and headed for the Andy Dalton Range in Bois D' Arc.
The school is one of many that offer a hunter safety course. They're lessons that go well beyond typical textbook learning.
The Missouri Conservation Department works with schools to develop the hunter education classes.
