SPRINGFIELD -- The state treasurer is behind a push to teach financial management to high school students in a format that they know well.
Treasurer Sarah Steelman is traveling the state to promote "Financial Football," an online video game that teaches financial literacy with a pigskin theme.
Steelman appeared in Springfield on Tuesday with St. Louis Rams kicker Josh Brown. J.P. Morgan, Chase and Visa are backing the game, which seeks to teach students how to manage money before they head off to college or go into the workforce.
Teens can play the game online or download it to their cell phones. To try the game, use this link: http://www.practicalmoneyskills.com/english/at_school/trainingcamp/
