An annual video game report card is out to help parents choose the right games as the holiday season nears.  The National Institute for Media and The Family flagged 10 games as inappropriate for young children.

In Blitz Two, for example, football players take steroids, celebrate with hookers and target which opposing players to hurt during game play.  In others, gang members slit the throats of their rivals and beat up strippers, combatants hack away with chain saw-equipped assault rifles,

Here's the list of "Mature" rated games that children may seek this Christmas:
Blitz 2
Dead Space
Fallout 3
Far Cry 2
Gears of War 2
Legendary
Left 4 Dead
Resistance 2
Silent Hill: Homecoming

Mature means they contain high violence and possible sexual content.

The group does have five Teen-rated games that it recommends for children 13 and over.  Those include:
Guitar Hero: World Tour
Rock Band 2
Rock Revolution
Spider-Man: Web of Shadows
Shaun White Snowboarding
