SALEM, Mo. -- A man from Salem is in jail after law officers say he intentionally rammed his pickup into a state trooper's car.  That crash banged the patrol car into a Dent County Sheriff's Department car.

Sheriff Bob Wofford says Allen Gott, 57, was on probation for a similar offense at the Salem Police Department this year.  He's in jail on a suspected probation violation until a prosecutor can charge him for the crash on Monday afternoon.  Wofford says the state trooper was in court at the time.  Salem police officers arrested Gott at a motel not long after the ramming.

A Dent County Sheriff's Department surveillance camera caught the crash on tape.  To see that video, click here on the video link above.
