LAURIE, MO -- A Sedalia, Missouri, man is dead following an accident on a hunting trip in Morgan County.
The Missouri Water Patrol says 83-year-old Robert Parker was tracking a deer he had shot Saturday morning near the town of Laurie.
Investigators received a call for a missing person and arrived to find both Parker and the animal had fallen from a bluff.
Parker was pronounced dead at the scene.
Family members say Parker had retrieved the deer, but upon dragging it back, he slipped down an embankment.
