The first baby born in the ozarks this new year was in a hurry for 2009.
Payton Elizah came into the world at 2:12AM this morning at Cox South Hospital.
That was just an hour or so after her mother was admitted.
She is 19 and a half inches long and weighs seven pounds.
The parents received a gift basket for delivering the area's first baby.
