A small plane made an emergency landing on an ice covered river in Michigan Tuesday, after taking off from Springfield. Several TV reports say the single engine Beechcraft experienced severe icing on its wing before crashing on the frozen St. Joseph River, just east of Lake Michigan. Two men on board walked away from the crash. One report says the men were returning to Michigan from a fishing trip in Texas, a flight log shows the plane stopped in Springfield to refuel.
