WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The nation's governors wrapped up weekend meetings with President Barack Obama on Sunday. They discussed plans for the economic stimulus measure.
The governors' main goal for the money is to create more jobs. Missouri Governor Jay Nixon appeared on C-SPAN on Sunday morning explaining what he wants to see done with the funds.
"The states that will come out of this the strongest are the ones that have a workforce trained for the future," said Nixon.
Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe also attended the meetings.
