Networking begins at 5:15 with a cash bar. The program begins at 6 and will use audience participation and improv to illustrate real ways businesses can get creative to reach their goals in 2009. There will be additional opportunities for idea sharing immediately following the one-hour workshop.

We all know what the drama is: layoffs, slumping sales, low employee morale, worries about money. Now what? Marlene Chism, founder of Stop Your Drama, and Jeff Jenkins, founder and Executive Director of The Skinny Improv, have teamed up to provide strategies for reinventing your business and dealing with workplace drama that affects the bottom line.
"The natural reaction in a bad economy is to cut staff, cut advertising and cut the lights," said Chism. "But that's not being creative." Now more than ever, businesses need ideas on how to think outside the recession box.
"Workplace drama is not funny. The economy is not funny," said Jenkins. "The drama in your head is not funny! It's time to lighten up and learn something at the same time." The workshop will provide a good dose of humor in a time when the daily news gives us little to laugh about. Yes, this is a challenging time, but business (and the show!) must go on. How you choose to react to today's challenges can determine your success now and in the future.
March is Stop Your Drama Month and Marlene Chism has created a Web site with free resources for businesses and individuals at www.stopyourdrama.org. Chism is a best-selling author of Success is a Given: Reading the signs while reinventing your life. She helps individuals and businesses overcome drama.
What is drama? Chism defines it as any obstacle to your peace and prosperity. The Skinny Improv has a corporate development program that teaches organizational creativity and change management. Chism and Jenkins are both nationally recognized speakers and corporate trainers.
