SPRINGFIELD – One daddy's girl got behind the wheel and left damage and a lot of questions in her wake on Wednesday. The first question is how she did it, since she's more than a decade away from age 16. The accident happened near Battlefield Road at South Ferguson Avenue, where the driver left her mark.

Ferguson in this area is peaceful. If you're looking to rent, you're in luck! There's a three-bedroom, one-and-a-half bath home available for $850 a month with, as of now, a new garage door.

It's a property that a man and his daughter visited on Wednesday morning. The girl is just 3 weeks shy of her second birthday but she made sure the whole neighborhood knew she was here.

"There was a police car out front. When I came out, the front part of the van was halfway in the garage,” said neighbor Tony Tindall.

The dad of the young driver is, understandably, a little embarrassed. He says his daughter is a regular Houdini. He says she unlocked herself from her car seat, climbed into the front seat and put the car in drive. Before he knew it, both his car and his daughter were halfway in the garage.

"It didn't drive like the gas was into it; it just pushed the door in on one side, came right over the hood," said Tindall.

How could an almost 2-year-old pull this off? Her dad calls it a cruel coincidence. But hey, if they still want to rent the property, at least the repair work is done.
