Arrests are likely in Calico Rock burglaries

MELBOURNE, Ark. -- Burglars gained entrance to three Calico Rock businesses on the night of May 18 and attempted to gain entrance to a fourth business whose alarm system apparently scared them away. Jenkins Fishing Service, Bill Terry’s Boat Dock, and Benji’s Diner were forcefully entered and items taken.

Guns, miscellaneous items and an undisclosed amount of money were taken from Jenkins while cameras and money were taken from Bill Terry’s. Money was taken from Benji’s Diner. The guns and cameras were recovered the following day. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said arrests and charges are pending and will be announced later.

Izard County Deputies made a drug related arrests at a Calico Rock motel on Saturday night. Keith Trivitt, 27, of Mountain Home remains in the Izard County jail pending felony possession of meth changes and possession of drug paraphernalia.

An early Sunday morning traffic stop near Brockwell resulted in two drug arrests and a bond revocation. Nicholas Speak, age 30 of Calico Rock is being held for charges to include possession of meth and introducing prohibited items into a detention facility. Tasha Lee Bowman, age 22 of Norfolk is being held pending the charge of possession of meth with intent to deliver. Donnie Ray Woodcock, age 28 of Calico Rock is being held on a bond revocation and a hold by the Arkansas Department Correction.

Kenneth Paul Money, age 60 of Evening Shade was arrested May 21 on the charge of sexual assault second degree involving a female juvenile. The alleged crime occurred approximately two years ago. Money posted bond in the amount of $5,000 and was released.

Michelle Daniel Chambliss, age 23 of Melbourne was arrested early Saturday morning on the charges of careless driving and driving while intoxicated. Chambliss posted bond the following day in the amount of $1,210 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.

Tammy Jewel Pitts, age 44 of Guion was arrested May 18 on charges of careless driving, driving on a suspended license, failure to stop after an accident, and driving while intoxicated. Pitts posted bond the following day in the amount of $2,050 and released.

Michael Leland Meaders, age 23 of Evening Shade was arrested May 19 on a child support enforcement warrant. Meaders was released April 21 after answering the charges in court.

Billy Darrell Headstream, age unavailable of Sidney was arrested May 20 on a child support enforcement warrant. Headstream was released later that after making bond provisions

Terry William Stacy, age 39 of Calico Rock was arrested May 22 on a failure to appear warrant relating to a previous charge of driving while intoxicated driver’s suspension. Stacy remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.

Christopher Todd Robinson, 33, of Mt. Pleasant was arrested May 18 on a failure to appear warrant. Robinson was given a Sherwood court date and was released.
