Hospital won't say how many were fired for looking at TV anchor's records

By Gene Hartley

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The chief executive of St. Vincent Health System says more people have been fired than the number charged for illegally accessing medical records of television anchor Anne Pressly. Pressly was a KATV anchor who died last Oct. 25 after being found beaten in her home four days earlier.

Dr. Jay Holland and former hospital employees Sarah Miller and Candida Griffin face misdemeanor federal charges of illegally accessing Pressly's records. St. Vincent President and Chief Executive Officer Peter Banko said Tuesday that more than that number have been fired.

Banko would not say how many were fired but in November he said that as many as six people were dismissed.

Curtis Vance of Marianna is charged with capital murder, rape, residential burglary and theft for Pressly's death.
