MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. -- Baxter County sheriff's deputies believe a woman from Bull Shoals sold some pain-dulling drug patches that ended up in the hands of a man who used too many of them and then died. Ruby Daniels, 58, is charged with delivery of a controlled substance.

According to a court affidavit filed by Arkansas State Police, Daniels received $120 in exchange for providing eight Fentanyl patches to a co-defendant on Jan. 31. The affidavit says the co-defendant then delivered those patches to Kenneth Williams, who chewed some of the patches and died of a suspected drug overdose on Feb. 1 in the Midway area.

The co-defendant isn't identified in the affidavit. Detectives say she is charged but hasn't been arrested.

Daniels surrendered after being notified of the warrant. A judge released her on a $5,000 bond. Her next court appearance is scheduled for July 24.
