A record crowd gathered east of Springfield for James River Assembly's I Love America celebration. It featured an air show, games, music and food, topped off by the Ozarks' biggest fireworks display.

Early estimates indicate a massive crowd of about 120,00 people gathered at the Springfield Underground for the 13th annual Independence Day tradition. That number would obliterate the previous record of 80,000.

The huge turnout was, no doubt, helped by other local events, like Springfield's Firefall, that were canceled for financial reasons and the nearly perfect weather that, once again, graced the I Love America event.

In addition to the 120,000 people who walked through turnstiles at the Springfield Underground, I Love America's fireworks show was also enjoyed by untold thousands watching from vantage points all over Springfield and in nations around the world. The event was broadcast internationally on GodTV.
