BRANSON, Mo -- More than 100 people laced up their running shoes and hit the pavement to help fight heart disease. It's all part of the annual Firecracker 5000, which includes 5K and 10K runs to raise money for the America Heart Association.
The course was along Branson Landing. People of all ages showed up for the early morning charity run.
"People all the way from toddlers in strollers, people in their upper to late 70s are running in the race," said race director Chris Essick. "It's been a great turnout."
For those who didn't want to push it too hard, there was also a mile fun run.
