STOCKTON, Mo -- One of Missouri's seven man-made lakes had a celebration Saturday afternoon.
The annual Stockton Dam Party brought in folks from all over to sample some homemade food and different varieties of bar-b-que.
Along with bluegrass music, there were contests like the ninth annual, "Great American Raft Race."
The event was a fundraiser put on by the local Arcola and Lions Clubs.
"Stockton Lake is probably one of the best kept secrets in the Ozarks," the chairman of the Stockton Dam Party, Bob Kitsmiller said. "Nice lake, nice facility, a lot of people."
"People coming together can do a number of things that individuals aren't able to do."
The money raised will go toward the local blind and deaf programs along with other programs surrounding the community.
