AVA, Mo. -- A man from Ava is charged with forcible rape and forcible sodomy for an attack on a 17-year-old woman late last month. Investigators think Philip Bea Jr., 17, committed the rape late Aug. 23 or early Aug. 24 at a home in Ava during a night of drinking.
Bea is in the Douglas County jail in lieu of a $60,000 bond. If convicted, he could face a prison sentence of between 5 and 30 years for each crime.
