SEYMOUR, Mo. -- Organizers of the 27th annual Apple Festival expect 10,000-15,000 this weekend. The three-day event is on the town square.

It begins Thursday night with gospel singing. A barbeque and crowning of the Apple Princess is Friday night, and the parade is Saturday morning at 10.

Organizers are accepting donations for the first time this year to help offset the costs for prizes and entertainment. The festival is free. Seymour is on U.S. 60 in southern Webster County.
