SPARTA -- A change of venue has been granted for the trial of a man from Sparta accused of murder.

Billy Wayne Hall's second-degree murder and kidnapping trial will now be heard in Cass County on a change of venue from Christian County.

The court also granted a motion for a change of judge; Wright County judge John Moody will now hear the case.

Prosecutors allege Hall helped kill Freda Heyn in 2003 because he was afraid that Heyn was going to turn him and his former sister-in-law in for cooking meth.

The victim was 68-years-old, and her skull was the only part of her body ever recovered.

She was last seen alive at the Post Office in her hometown of Oldfield.
