From huge mud puddles to a small lake, the James River continues to rise, drowning Stetson Jentzsch's hope of racing this weekend.
"I was excited to ride and we got all this rain and couldn't do much."
Thursday's heavy downpour forced Jentzsch and others to evacuate the motocross event.
"I was kind of mad, disappointed," said Jentzsch.
The frustrated feeling was shared among hundreds who got their RVs stuck in the soupy mess, scrambling to get out.
Crews had to use bulldozers to free the heavy vehicles from the muck. The relentless rain made the work even more unpleasant.
"I had guys down here 'til two or three in the morning," said Stone County Sheriff, Richard Hill.
Stone County has seen worse flooding than this, but it was a first for the Branson USA Motocross Race.
"It rained like all day yesterday and just kept overflowing down there on the track, probably ten feet of standing water on the track," said Jentzsch.
The competitions are canceled for obvious reasons and will be rescheduled at a later date. Jentzsch only hopes rain won't be an issue the next time.
Sheriff Hill said he hasn't had any many problems as far as flooding is concerned except for a lot of spectators gathering on the bridge, that overlooks the race track. In effort to relieve any congestion crews put up signs warning people not to park on the bridge.
