OZARK, Mo. -- A family is getting over their bout with H1N1 flu. The Bowler family started dealing with some major body aches and high fevers on Oct. 4. They say it ran its course in about 48 hours. In fact, dad Clay Bowler blogged about his whole experience with H1N1 flu.

Dakota, 14, came down the virus first. By two days later, it spread to his mom and dad.

"One nice thing about H1N1 is you don't get congested like a lot of flus so you can breathe and sleep better. I'd take H1N1 again over the common flu any day," Clay Bowler wrote.

Dakota says he felt weak, could hardly stand and felt like he didn't have the strength to stay awake. He also experienced vomiting and fever.

The family tells us it took two days for the bug to run its course. They're now back to their old selves, playing rock band and feeling a lot better.

Clay Bowler believes the swine flu was over-hyped and not as bad as seasonal flu. The family took Tamiflu to help manage their symptoms and sterilized the entire house to prevent spreading germs to other members of the family. It worked, one child did not get the virus.
