NIXA, Mo. -- A seventh Republican candidate has entered the race for the 7th Congressional District seat being vacated by Rep. Roy Blunt, R-Springfield, in January 2011.  Business owner and retired U.S. Marine Michael Wardell of Nixa says he's running because the other Republican candidates have just been mostly throwing red meat and offering empty rhetoric.

Wardell says he'll campaign on specifics, and began by offering a list of 10 ideas for which he would fight.

"The first thing I want to do is I want to reduce the marginal tax rate from 25 down to 15 percent.  I believe in the Fair Tax.  We are not going to get there in one jump,” he said.
