WALNUT GROVE, Mo. -- The Walnut Grove School District won't hold classes for the rest of the week due to widespread influenza. The superintendent plans to re-open on Monday.

The district in northwest Greene County and southwest Polk County has 297 students; 60 were out on Tuesday because of the flu. The superintendent says 80 percent of kids missing in the elementary school didn’t receive the H1N1 shot when they had a vaccination clinic last Tuesday; 70 percent of the sick high school students also didn't get the vaccine when they had the chance.
