SPRINGFIELD -- It's the 100th anniversary of Casper's restaurant. If you've been there, you know it has kitchy decorations, some homemade.

Owner Belinda Harriman joined Ozarks Today on Friday with a project you can do to get into the Christmas spirit. We talked about a dough ornament recipe. To see the interview, click on the video player.

Meantime, it's the 100th anniversary celebration at Casper's on West Walnut Street at Main Avenue. It runs from 10:30 to 4:30 on Saturday. There will be six bands, and you can get chili, a hot dog, or a Coney dog for $1.

Here's the recipe Belinda suggested:

4 cups of flour

1 cup of salt

1 1/2 cups of water

Bake at 350 degrees until finished. It may take 45 minutes to an hour.

Here's another recipe we grabbed from the net. As you can see, it's a little different.

2 cups of flour

1 cup of salt

1 cup of water

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Mix all ingredients until well blended. Roll dough out on waxed paper and cut into desired shapes. Make a hole at the top of each ornament using a straw, pencil, toothpick or similar object. Bake for 2-3 hours.
