MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. -- Baxter County investigators say the deaths of a woman and her mother appear to be a murder-suicide. Sheriff John Montgomery says relatives found the bodies of Nancy Frank, 46, and Louise Gipson, 79, in Gipson's home about 4 p.m. Monday.

Montgomery says it appears Frank shot and killed her mother and then killed herself. He says a letter written by Frank indicated her mother was in poor health and didn't want to be a burden on her family.

The state medical examiner's office in Little Rock will do autopsies.
