KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police say Ryan Goodman, 35, of Lee's Summit was the construction worker killed when a crane fell over at a construction site in downtown Kansas City on Tuesday. Police say another worker who was injured, Shane Wagener, 30, of Grain Valley, was in serious but stable condition on Wednesday at a hospital.

The two men were in the bucket of the 100-foot-tall JLG Lift when it fell away from the site of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts Tuesday. The lift landed across a platform of steel beams, officials said. (Raw video is from KSHB, Kansas City.)

Construction on the 13-acre site began in 2006 and is scheduled to be finished in 2011. The $400 million center will be the home of the Kansas City Symphony, the Lyric Opera of Kansas City and the Kansas City Ballet.
