MANSFIELD, Mo. -- A fund is now set up to help pay funeral expenses for a toddler who died of bacterial meningitis. Brison Coffman would have turned 3 next Sunday.
Donations can be made through the Bank of Mansfield, the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, or canisters at area stores.
Meanwhile, the Mansfield school district canceled classes on Tuesday because of low attendance on Monday after a student developed bacterial meningitis. That student, a half-brother of Brison, and the mother of that half-brother, who both also have meningitis, are being treated.
The district was already scheduled to be off for Thanksgiving on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
