BRANSON WEST, Mo. -- A man working on a backup generator at a motel is critically injured after an electrical arc caught his clothing on fire. Southern Stone County Fire Chief Charlie Neubert says the accident was about noon Monday, and the man has second- and third-degree burns over half of his body, mostly from the waist up.

An air ambulance took the man to a hospital in Springfield. A second employee of the Best Western motel also was burned but was treated at the scene.
