MONETT, Mo. -- City police are looking for five people behind a check forgery scheme. The police chief says these five people cashed stolen payroll checks and got away with $40,000 from First State Bank branches in Monett, Aurora, Cassville, Pierce City. Police think they may have also hit Springfield.
