OZARK, Mo. -- A restaurant full of antiques, furniture and one-of-a-kind artwork hit the auction block Saturday morning.
Auctioneer Billy Long says the Riverside Inn is the auction of the year for the area.
The dining rooms were transformed into art galleries for the event. Folks say the big draw was the many paintings by former owner, Howard Garrison.
More than 300 people came out to take a piece of the 1923 restaurant with them.
"Memories," Springfield resident, Harry Watson said about the crowd. "(It's a) chance to buy memories to take home."
Earlier this year, the Riverside Inn's owners asked Christian County's Commmission to apply for a FEMA grant to close the often-flooded restaurant.
