LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A Rogers woman's visit to her husband at work on New Year's Day paid off handsomely.

Tammy Sue Johnson decided to buy a scratch-off ticket while visiting her husband at the Kum & Go store in Lowell and she bought what turned out to be a $500,000 winning ticket.

Johnson took the day off from work at the Wal-Mart headquarters in Bentonville on Monday to cash the ticket. She says she got a check for about $375,000 after taxes and plans to buy new family vehicles.

Office manager Cindy Burnett at the lottery's Springdale Claim Center says two other $500,000 grand prize tickets were produced but have not been claimed.
