HARRISON, Ark. -- The sun was out here on Thursday but one cloud hung over the community: the reminder of that ice storm that took place this time last year. With another winter weather system moving in, no one seemed in the mood to take any chances.

"We’re just waiting to see what will happen,” says Mike Nabors.

The owner of Neighbor's Mill wasn't expecting anything unusual over lunch. Everything looked pretty normal. If you listened closely, however, you could detect one thing that separated the table talk on Thursday from that of your everyday crowd.

"Everybody's talking about the weather,” Mike says.

"Every hour, it's a little different," adds Harrison resident Millicent Conner.

They were just hoping that, ultimately, it's a lot different from this time last year.

"We got the generator out this morning,” says Charles Ezell.

"We're pretty concerned because we remember how awful it was," Mike says.

Tell that to the guy who doesn't remember.

"It's a whole new ball game for me,” said Seth Woodward.

Woodward moved to town six months ago. He grew up in Florida.

“I saw snow once in 18 years,” he said.

Given the tales he heard around the table, he was doing like those who were around last January: no one was taking any chances.

"I'm going to go out and get a flashlight and a propane.”
