Two men from Springfield MO are accused of counterfeiting money

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Two men from Springfield are charged with forgery and possession of forgery instruments after police served a search warrant in the 600 block of West Madison Street on Wednesday night.

Michael McDonald-Collins and Michael Cass are charged after police found counterfeit money, a printer and items that were purchased with counterfeit money at the home.  Both men were in the Greene County jail on Friday.   McDonald's bond is $15,000;  Cass' bond is $10,000.

During the past two months there have been multiple reports of counterfeit money being passed to local businesses. The Springfield Police Department and the Secret Service are continuing the investigation.
