BRANSON, Mo. -- Branson police and officers from other law enforcement agencies conducted a sting operation and arrested three suspected prostitutes on Tuesday evening. The Taney County prosecuting attorney on Wednesday charged Amber Johnson, 21, Springfield; Chelsey Norris, 19, Strafford; and Dametra Wright, 28, Branson, with one count each of prostitution.
Branson Police Chief Caroll McCullough says the sting followed a tip that prostitution was occurring at various locations in the city. If the women are convicted, they face county jail sentences up to six months or fines up to $500. A judge set their bonds at $10,000.
