CONWAY, Mo. -- Conway High School will celebrate on Monday. Its robotics team won the national championship in Dallas, Texas, over the weekend.
Fred the robot was created in just six weeks. The team started out competing with 600 other schools across the country. They were given a box of parts with 42 days to build a robot to complete a set list of objects.
After qualifying in Harrison, Ark., then in Fort Smith, Ark., they were one of 12 chosen to compete in Texas. A big trophy now sits near the principal's office to celebrate their national title.
