Two people are in custody after leading law enforcement officers on a brief pursuit following a reported burglary on Wednesday morning.
A Greene County deputy told a photojournalist that a woman called 9-1-1 to report a burglary, but didn't say where the call came from. The deputy said the caller provided a description of the vehicle in which the two were suspected of driving away, and officers saw the vehicle soon afterward.
Officers pursued it to an area near Farm Road 199 at Route OO between Strafford and Springfield. A foot chase ensued and a police dog was brought to the scene. Two people were taken into custody before 10 a.m.
Greene County sheriff's deputies, Webster County sheriff's deputies, Marshfield police officers and Strafford police officers were all at the scene.
