A man from Norfork, Ark. was arrested over the weekend after shooting his brother in the face and upper torso, officials say.

According to the Baxter County Sheriff's Office, the victim, Wesley Dickerson, drove to his brother's house on Fan Leaf Lane in the Norfork area around 8:00 p.m. Saturday. The sheriff's office says the suspect, Charles Dickerson, threatened Wesley by telling him to leave or he would shoot him. Charles Dickerson is believed to have then fired a single shot, striking his brother.

Authorities say evidence suggests Wesley Dickerson was still inside his truck when the shot was fired from a distance.

Charles Dickerson is being held in the Baxter County jail on $50,000 bond.

Wesley was life flighted to a Little Rock hospital. Officials have not released his condition.
