An Army bomb found between Strafford and Rogersville Tuesday afternoon is not a threat.
The military ordnance was found at 9828 E. Charity Drive, east of Missouri 125. Neighbors say the people who used to live in the house have been gone for about a month, but left behind a vehicle. A crew showed up to repossess the vehicle and found the bomb next to the vehicle.
Fort Leonard Wood sent in a bomb squad, which arrived about 6:40 p.m. They determined it was a dud, and hauled it to the Army post.
Officers evacuated residents in the immediate area as a precaution.
