SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -

The Diaper Bank of the Ozarks operates out at Crosslines at Glenstone and Chesnut. Every month, between ten and twelve thousand diapers are sent out to area families in need.

Diapers can cost a family more than 60 dollars every month. About one in every three families in the Ozarks can't afford that. A reason why Jill Bright created the Diaper Bank of the Ozarks this last summer. Something she says is needed in order to keep babies happy and healthy.

" I just love babies and to find out so many of them were being left in a diaper that was soiled for 8, 10, 12 hours, even 24 hours, moms trying to reuse diapers by rinsing them out, using rags rather than cloth diapers just to get by" says Bright.

The organization is working on becoming a 501 C 3 non profit.
