CROCKER, Mo. -

An occasional substitute teacher and soccer coach for Crocker High School is charged with having sexual relations with a female student and soccer player after police say he admitted to the acts.  Crocker police say Kevin Zimmerman, 37, had sex with the student on several occasions in 2012 and 2013.

According to a probable cause statement against Zimmerman, a St. Louis County sheriff's deputy who investigates Internet crimes in the area said Zimmerman sent pornographic images to an undercover officer with the St. Louis County Sheriff's Department.  As part of that investigation, several law enforcement officers met with Zimmerman in Crocker on Monday.

During the meeting, Zimmerman admitted to being in a relationship with a female student and soccer player while employed with the Crocker School District.  He also admitted to having sex with the student on several occasions, according to the probable cause statement.

The student graduated in May 2013, according to the Crocker police chief.  The sexual contact started in the spring of 2012, according to the probable cause statement, and progressed to intercourse by the fall of of 2012.  Zimmerman told police that he and the woman have "continued a sexual relationship" since her graduation, according to the probable cause statement.

Crocker police took Zimmerman into custody, and he was then booked into the Pulaski County Jail.  Zimmerman posted a $100,000 bond and was released.

Crocker police said Zimmerman has been removed from the school.  They expect more charges to be filed in other counties, according to Crocker Police Chief Chris Twitchel, because the sexual relations occurred in other places besides Zimmerman's home in Crocker.  Those other places include a home owned by Zimmerman's family at Lake of the Ozarks near Roach in Camden County, and "his farm house" in Pulaski County.
