SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -

A pet macaw is back with his owners after being stuck in a tree for more than two days in Springfield's Phelps Grove neighborhood.

The bird, named Casey, was startled by a 5-year-old boy and flew out of its home into a nearby tree.

The macaw's wings were clipped when it lived in a pet store. The owners say Casey has been afraid to fly ever since, but still managed to make it up into the tree.

Two local tree services came to rescue tying to coax the bird out of the tree. After three attempts, the bird was finally reunited with its owners.
