A new melting pot of menus has opened in the city, giving mobile food fans a place to meet all their vendors in one spot at the same time.

The new Mobile Food Park opened Friday on N. Glenstone Ave., just north of Chestnut Expwy.  It’s a daily gathering spot for vendors, which are gaining popularity around town

“It is a great way to support local food vendors and just get people outside doing something a little different,” stated organizer Cina Canada.

They’re serving up everything from the traditional, to some tastes with a twist.

“We just finished eating the peanut and chicken tacos,” stated customer Roland Logan. “It was very good!”

You never know what you are going to find here at the new food market. For instance, you can get some authentic British food at a pub-themed truck, and then eat it inside a London double-decker bus parked nearby.

“She is in great shape.  We have converted it into a restaurant,” stated Neal Gomme, co-owner of London Calling.

Organizers say the gathering spot will be open each night of the week, though Friday nights will be the ‘big” event, with music and most of the city’s mobile food vendors present.  The park is located next to Transport Graphics on N. Glenstone Ave.

“We really hope that this will be an exciting destination for people to come with their families,” stated Canada.  “There is a lot of exciting things in the works.”
