The Missouri Department of Transportation will show off its plans for improvements around Rogersville at a public meeting on Wednesday (not Tuesday as previously reported here). The discussion will cover planned improvements to several railroad crossings as well as a plan to build a new road connecting Highway B with Greene County Farm Road 253 on the west side of Rogersville.
The come-and-go style meeting will be in the Commons Area at the high school between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Those unable to attend the public meeting can view the information via an online meeting which can be accessed here.
The project includes building a railroad overpass in the vicinity of Farm Road 253, improving two railroad crossings, closing two other railroad crossings and building a new connector road between Highway B and Farm Road 253.
Those attending will be able to view plans and talk with MoDOT representatives.
People who attend the in-person public meeting and the online meeting are encouraged to submit comments about the proposals.
The project is scheduled to be built beginning in the spring 2016.
The railroad crossing/road improvement projects are not associated with the project to upgrade U.S. 60 to a freeway.
