NORMAN, Okla. -

Ex-Missouri Tigers and Springfield Hillcrest High School standout Dorial Green-Beckham will have to sit out the entire 2014 college football season after the NCAA made its ruling Friday evening.

His new school, the University of Oklahoma, announced the decision in a statement on Twitter.  (Read below)

Green-Beckham applied for a special waiver from the NCAA to be eligible to play in 2014, instead of having to sit out a season like most transfers.  He cited the "run-off rule."  It claims a player had to transfer for reasons out of his control.  Green-Beckham had two separate off-the-field incidents involving the law in 2014, leading to his dismissal from the University of Missouri.

Green-Beckham finished his sophomore campaign with 12 touchdowns, helping Mizzou win the Southeastern Conference's Eastern Division Championship.
