SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -

Thanks to everyone who made the second annual "Safe and Sound Saturday" a huge success.

More than 7,500 people attended the free safety show Saturday at the Springfield Expo Center.  The show focuses each year on keeping your family safe.  It featured presentations from safety organizations, law enforcement, the Better Business Bureau and KY3 and KSPR meteorologists.  Those attending also had the opportunity to talk to vendors that focus on safety.

Aaron Sachs and Associates gave away nearly 2,000 bike helmets to kids.  Michael Reagan of Springfield won a Safe-T-First storm shelter in a prize giveaway.
