FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -

Police believe excessive speed was a factor in a deadly motorcycle crash in Fayetteville late Saturday afternoon.

A preliminary investigation by the Washington County Sheriff's Office indicates Amanda Moore, 33, of Fayetteville was killed when the cycle she was riding on failed to negotiate a curve on Wilson Hollow Road, went airborne and struck a tree.

Moore was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was taken to a Fayetteville hospital in critical condition.
